CNC post-processor customization

Send your post-processor, your requirements and a couple of programs — get the modified post, a line-by-line explanation of every G-code change and an equivalence report: a simulator compares old and new toolpaths to a thousandth of a millimetre.

Send for a test
What you get
  • Post-processor adapted to your spec: tool change, R/IJK arcs, drilling cycles, coolant, header, number format
  • G-code diff: every changed line tied to a spec item, zero unexplained changes
  • Equivalence report: old and new toolpaths match within 0.001 mm
  • Automatic safety checks: rapids inside stock, tool change position, spindle and coolant
Honest limits
  • We currently work with Python and text-based posts (FreeCAD CAM, LinuxCNC, Mach). Fusion 360 posts (.cps) need a run on your Fusion licence or a licensed partner
  • We don't test on your machine: the first dry run is yours
  • Thread milling/tapping is checked separately — send a program with threads

Example: audit of the stock FreeCAD → Fanuc post

12 programs, 8 shop-spec edits, 253 thousand toolpath points compared. Along the way we found two dangerous bugs in the stock post:

≤0.00024 mmbetween old and new toolpaths — the machine moves exactly as before
Every lineof changed G-code is tied to a spec item — review takes minutes, not a day

Tool change forces G54

− N260 G91 G0 G43 G54 Z-[#[2000+#4120]] H#4120+ G43 H6

In multi-part programs (G55, G56…) machining after a tool change went to G54 — the wrong part.

Missing I/J in arcs

− N740 G3 X-20.000 Y-12.000 I1.732+ G3 X-20. Y-12. R2.

Fanuc reads a missing centre coordinate as 0 — the arc deviated from the toolpath by up to 4.27 mm.

FAQ

Where do our files go?

Processing runs on the Claude model (Anthropic, USA). If your drawings can't leave your jurisdiction, tell us first and we'll discuss options.

Who is responsible for the result?

We are responsible for every dimension being checked and every ambiguity being listed. Final acceptance is done by your engineer.

What does it cost?

The pilot and test runs are free for now. We quote a price after the test, once your volumes and part types are clear.

Pilot

Send your post and 2–3 programs

We adapt it to your machine and explain every changed line before you run a program.

The pilot and test runs are free for now. In the pilot part of the work is done by an operator, so results usually arrive within a couple of hours. In the final version the system will do everything in minutes.
